The concept of love and its experience commonly emerges in  therapeutic relationships and is a very important issue for exploration and deeper understanding.
The experience of love as defined by Persian mystics such as Rumi and Attar can be applied to the area of clinical work. Steven Nouriani, PhD, MFT, will present on the healing value of love in depth psychotherapy and Jungian analysis, along with clinical  examples and case material for group discussion.

The experience of love in psychotherapy or analytical work can be healing, can deepen a patient’s emotional development, psychological development, and improve their relationships with others.

A deeper understanding of the concept of Love and its clinical  applications in depth psychotherapy can lead to effective change in the psychotherapist’s attitude towards the therapeutic work.  Ways of holding and working with the transference and counter transference field and interacting with patients, while leading  them in transformation of consciousness, will be discussed.
