Honoring the Spaces Between Life and Death

Honoring the Spaces Between Life and Death: Individuation and Cultivating Analytical Presence

9AM - 12PM

FACULTY: CLAIRE COSTELLO, PhD; LUIS MORIS;

MURRAY STEIN, PhD; JOHN BEEBE, MD

TUITION: $90

3 CEUs

LIVESTREAM ONLY

In Confronting Death, published by Chiron in 2024, Luis Moris invited Murray Stein, John Beebe, Claire Costello and others to write about their experiences preparing for death. In this seminar, these four analysts will share how experiences of death, grief and mourning have helped them in their work as analysts. Together they will share something of what they wrote and will initiate an interactive dialogue amongst themselves and with the audience, weaving a sacred safe space from which to expand further a creative field of emergence sharing experiences of professional and personal bereavement, or moments that have opened to mystery submitting a resilience. Our hope is to open an experience of communitas that seeds further connection and grows our sense of meaning, perhaps awakening compassion or doubt within, which might offer to sustain, carry or shelter us.
